Born in Japan. He is an internationally renowned trainer, coach, consultant and author. He has worked extensively in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly South Korea, China, and Taiwan. He has coached over 4,000 executives to improve their cross-cultural communication skills. He also founded and became Chairman of IBC, a publishing company specializing in global and cross-cultural management and communications. He is the author of more than 20 books, and his articles on cross-cultural management and related issues have appeared in publications such as the Japan Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Publishers Weekly, and Nikkei. He has been invited to various parts of Asia to give lectures and conduct training activities. In Japan, it won the Publishing Academy Award in 2000.
